Tell me what you care about
By Elizabeth Filips • Issue #30 • View online
Heya, it’s been a while.
The Part-Time Youtuber Academy is taking up every intellectually viable moment of my life, 7 days a week, and as I wrap up work today and get ready for a full day in the office on a Sunday tomorrow, I wanted to ask you something. What is a social cause you care about and why?
I’ve started to worry I’m not doing enough with my platform, possibly because it’s still hard to wrap my head around the fact that I have one. But while I’ve just gotten an email confirmation from YouTube saying they’ve sent over my 100k play button 😬, I no longer think I can reasonably justify my hesitation.
So tell me what you care about. Both to potentially reinforce your passion in it, and hopefully it’s something that makes sense for me start paying attention to.
I’d genuinely love to know.
Wishing you a brilliant week, and wishing me more energy,
Elizabeth xx

🖤 My Favourite Things This Week
Ice skating - I did think I was going to die, I did not manage to properly leave the sides of the ice rink, my adrenaline was at a constant high, but I thought ice skating was brilliant. It looked so much fun for those who could do it properly! I really want to learn how to do it better soon.
The most inspirational video - I wish more people would watch this. It’s a video on a lady who spent 7 years of her light fighting to ban child sacrifice in Uganda. I don’t think I’ve ever been more impressed, humbled, inspired and proud to be human. I wish people like her were more famous.
Ed Sheeran’s new album - I’m of course playing every song on repeat but I’m particularly in love with 2step and the Joker and the Queen.
